I received my MS in gerontology at CSULB. My research interest focuses on parent/ adult children relationships in late life and its effect on self-perception of aging. I am interested in studying empathy in early education and its motivation for volunteerism. Specifically, what factors contribute to where/why a person chooses to volunteer and how we can achieve long-term commitment for volunteerism.
