Bio

I graduated from California State University, Chico in 2020 with a B.A. in Psychology and Child Development. As a curious undergraduate, I dabbled in multiple research topics including text-graphic effects on cognition, attitudes toward nontraditional relationship structures, and children's language development. Ultimately, my coursework, practicums, and volunteer activities cultivated a strong interest in the impact of children's early experiences on their development across the lifespan. I want to understand resilience, defined as positive adaptation in the context of adverse environments. Presently, I am working on projects investigating children's sensitivity to both positive and negative aspects of their environments.

I grew up in Davis and think it is a wonderful community. When I began to research graduate programs, the HDGG at UC Davis stood out as an excellent potential academic and research fit. In my free time, I enjoy watching period piece movies and spending time with friends and family.
