Bio

I am a Ph.D. student in Dr. Johnna Swartz's Brain Development, Psychopathology, and Mental Health lab. I graduated from Temple University in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology, after which I worked as a research assistant at Temple on projects investigating memory development in young children as well as how the cerebellum contributes to affect regulation. My research interests include the neurobiological and physiological correlates of developing mood disorders as well as how individual contexts shape risk for and resilience to psychopathology. Currently, my research uses functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to examine how reward-related brain function is related to symptoms of depression and anhedonia over time in Brazilian adolescents.

In my free time, I like to try new recipes, spend time outdoors, and read.
