I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point with a BS in Dietetics and minors in Psychology and Anthropology. Eager to understand social issues that play a role in nutrition, I completed a MS in Food Systems and Society from Marylhurst University, where I studied food from a social justice perspective through the lenses of race, class and gender. My personal journey as a mother has since fostered a curiosity to explore parent-child dynamics around food. My research interests are focused on socialization processes that shape eating behavior in infancy and early childhood.
