Bio

I am interested in the individual processes of social and emotional development, the internal and external factors affecting one's psychology, as well as culturally-sensitive perspectives on child development and mental health. For these reasons, I am especially drawn to pursuing research examining the interplay between familial and cultural influences and neurobiology in shaping the development of self-regulation across childhood and adolescence. In my graduate studies I hope to continue studying how these elements interact with one another to shape our relationships.
