Bio

Research interests: anxiety, stress and resilience

Life stage: Adolescence

My name is Andrea and I'm excited to begin working with Dr. Swartz this fall. I graduated from Penn State in 2017 with bachelors' degrees in Psychology, Criminology, and Sociology and my M.Ed in higher education in 2020. After graduation in 2017, I worked as a lab manager in several research labs at Penn State focusing on anxiety, depression, ADHD, and ASD. My research interest is to understand how life stressors and adversity may influence neurobiological and physiological mechanisms underlying emotion processing and psychopathology in adolescents.

I moved to California in August 2020 and enjoy finding new restaurants, game nights, watching sports, and collecting comic books!
