- Major Professor: Dr. Aubyn Stahmer
I am a current Ph.D. student working with Dr. Aubyn Stahmer in the Collaborative Start Lab at the UC Davis MIND Institute. Generally, my research interests focus on the experiences of autistic individuals and their families in their religious communities. In particular, I am interested in deepening our understanding of the extent to which religious communities are inclusive of autistic individuals. Additionally, I have explored the influence of religious beliefs on perceptions of autism among Muslim parents of children with autism. My overall aim is to develop community guidelines and interventions to promote inclusivity and increase awareness of neurodiversity across religious community settings.
