Position Title
Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology
I am passionate about investigating modifiable lifestyle factors that have the potential to make a positive difference in the lives of older adults. I strive to understand how personality traits – our characteristic patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving – contribute to health and optimal development in older adulthood, and how these associations vary across time, contexts, and countries. I am also interested in exploring how interpersonal relationships and social connections impact the interplay between psychological and physiological processes.
I am deeply committed to recognizing, acknowledging, and celebrating diversity, equity, and inclusion. I feel extremely fortunate to have landed in a place with ample opportunities to act upon these commitments. Supporting students in achieving their varied academic and career goals and adhering to approaches that are sensitive to the unique backgrounds and lived experiences of diverse students has been a highlight of my academic career thus far.
